True justice would be to put him in a pit with a couple of pit bulls In giving your opinion of the sentence, please keep In mind that he is responsible for having two innocent animals put in a pit and tearing off each others flesh and fighting to the death. Realistically, I guess, 10 yrs. in prison certainly would not be out of the question.

Philosophically speaking, I think the "what could've been" for his career will haunt him plenty. Personally, I only like to seek punishment if necessary, not as vengeance.

But, if you want a more satisfying answer: He should be brutally trained for months to compete in a human on human deathmatch with metal-clawed, freddy kreuger gloves. He and his opponents' eyes will be maced prior to the start and it will take place in near darkness, but he will be able to hear the cheers of thousands of blood-thirsty spectators who are watching via videoscreens. And just for good measure, buckets containing mixtures of tabasco sauce, fine shards of glass and AIDS infected blood will be thrown on the combatants at random intervals.

Now we only need someone worthy of being his opponent.

What distresses me is that cruelty to animals surpasses cruelty to humans. No animal should endure what is alleged in the case, let alone for some financial profit of people who are already wealthier than most.

Imprisoning him will only drive "sport" underground like all other illegal activities against animals around the world.

I prefer that he be required to pay 50% of his earnings from this point forward to animal issues. That will be more money to rescue animals like this, more money to capture people like him and a demonstration that there is no money to be made in cruelty.

Or, we could put him into a pit with a few diagnosed psychopaths or sociopaths. May the better dog win.

Has he been sentenced? If he has, I didn't know, so haven't given it much thought beyond hoping he gets at least half the max... so will retire from the discussion.
