What is the difference between a Casablanca Lily and an Easter Lily?

I'm pretty naive in the subject, except for the fact that Easter lilies are my favorite. Wait, I mean Casablanca. Actually, I just love white strong scented lilies! : )

I agree with you I like the white fragrant lilies the best.
"Casa Blanca" is the name of a cultivar or clone of an Oriental hybrid Lily (Lilium hybrid). These are crosses between several species lilies from the Far East.
The Easter lily is a Lilium longiflorum a species from Japan & other islands nearby.
Other very fragrant white include Lilium regale and Lilium candida or the Madona Lily

I dont know about the Buddhist culture...but in some countries it is a tradition to place white lilies when visiting graves.... only white, not colorful lilies, those are a great gift for celebrations. but there is no reason for you to change your flower choice simply because of what it represents...i love casablanca and stargazer lilies, and i have a tendency to buy white lilies just because i find them to be beautiful...to me white is the purest of all colors and i dont care what other people think.
