The question is fine Marshall. Either you believe some actions directed your way are indicative of someone loving you, or you don't.

No, Love is an emotion that causes various internal and external responses both sociological and physiological. There are many types of love, each with it's own set of responses. Many of the sociological responses are learned so very from one social group to another.

This is an interesting question, narrow the focus and ask again.

Love can be expressed from a behaviour however I believe that Love is Power
5 actions
1. Having Patience- when someone is really irritating you, love is the power that witholds you from acting upon feelings of the flesh that are telling you to beat the person down.

2. Being truthful- It lasts forever, if you break up with someone you said you loved you can still go on loving them after but if you say you stopped than it wasn't love to begin with

3. Protective - not jealous, just caring that you are not harmed

4. Humble - Not boastful about accomplishments however when someone is trying to impress their date they might try to impress them with their accomplishments however...this does not mean they are in love with them because it's just the early dates...

5. Lastly, when the other person knows what Love is...and that Love is God....truth without flaw... but has many imitations...

Love is the voice of God, comes through the loving heart, and is evidenced by behavior. I would further define love between human beings as being either charitable love, or warm love. Charitable love being goodwill toward all, and warm love being the love reserved for the few within a person's circle of true friends, family, and lover. For the sake of discussion, I'll mention some behaviors that indicate one person's warm love for another.
1) Giving complete and total respect for anothers free will and their property.
2) Kindness the loved one would like to receive.
3) Seeing and responding to the best in that person. Encouraging Spiritual growth and positive practices in the other.
4) Keeping ones promises and word
5) Tactful honesty with regard for my truth as well as their truth.
and 6) for a lover only, lots of lots of physical expression of love.

Love has been discribed as a feeling or emotion, but love invokes the emotion. Some say Love is the voice of God, I say Love speaks volumes, but it is more than a voice. Love is more than a behavior: although it affects behavior when we act on or react to Love. When Love is spoken of in terms of an emotion or behavior the speaker reveals his/her level of knowledge and experience in Love. The greater knowledge a persons has in Love the greater capacity he/she can express Love in words and deeds. So to do Love(express Love in deeds) is the expression of Love. We can have Love for someone or something, but we can not be Love. Love is an entity all it's own. It has power, will, the ability to touch and be touched. One can be filled or even saturated with/by Love, yet one can not be Love. Love -is- Life. Love is goodness, complete. The results or affects of Love always end up good. Love is truth. To Love someone or something is to be true to that someone or something, even ourself. So to express Love genuinely one must do so in truth and goodness. The only fault that I associate with Love, and that fault is not owned by Love, but that Love can be immitated. Getting to know Love can take a lifetime, and the rewards are equal to none...I Love because I am loved, and Love abides with me all the days of my life. Love never fails...in response to the actions of Love, if the actions aren't true then they aren't an expression of Love...So no, Love is not a behavior. Love is much, much more...take care...

in my opinion, sometimes we behave the way we do out of force - a lot of people 'respect' their boss just so they don't get fired! love is completely unforced (again, my opinion), so idon't think love is a behaviour; but maybe our behaviour is an indication of what/whom we love?

5 actions:
endless, unconditional trust
lust (YES, i think lust is an important part of love!)
little gestures -- it's the little things that count most
acceptance of one's flaws or quirks
lots of hugs and kisses!

No, love is a feeling. And, honestly, I don't think that there are any ways to be absolutely sure that someone loves another. You just have to trust them to act how they feel, I guess.

Love is a feeling that you also show through behavior.

Trust, respect, faithfulness, communication and affection.
