I am a big fan of all art! I have ceramics and glassware from local artists as well as from Okinawa, other Japanese artwork (brush paint and other media), old drawings from my niece from when she was a little girl, and some of my own photography prints. Wanna see?

Some original abstract oil paintings (4' x 8') from an artist friend. Some other smaller originals, another artist friend. Some watercolors. A cheap print of Van Gogh's Starry Night.

The paintings that I have in my house were painted by my late grandmother. She really liked to paint so there were a few paintings just laying around so we decided to hang some of them on the wall. There are also a lot of pictures of my family in my house.

I have a very old painting of a well known hotel overlooking the ocean in Northern California. The hotel was destroyed in an earth quake.
The picture once hung in the actual hotel.
I can't remember the name of the hotel or where it was located. I also don't know the name of the artist. It was a family hand me down and I wasn't given enough information about it. But it's really cool!
Also a large framed photograph of a GIANT wave at the Wedge. A popular surf spot in Newport Beach CA.

A beautiful, old oil painting of a vase of assorted flowers. The painting cost $350 at Hudson's dept. store back in the '60's--a lot of money for my parents to pay for something. They proudly hung it over the fireplace mantle. Once, it was nearly damaged when we had a fire in the fireplace and the flue got stuck. Black smoke was rapidly rising when I quickly grabbed the painting off the wall as my father threw water on the fire. My folks left the painting to me after they passed away.

We go through phases, so the paintings get recycled. My favorite was Old English shipping theme. Lots of sailing boats, seascape's, and rustic light houses. We had American Indian themes for awhile, and now we are into quilts!

I've got stacks and stacks of paintings. I paint as a hobby, and have canvases and paper and other painted stuff everywhere. I think it's time to start selling some of this stuff.
