that is such a generic question but I'll give it a go.

Start with a thesis sentence (also called a focus sentence for odd reasons now). The thesis statement is what your essay's topic will be.

Most essays follow a 5 paragraph form.

Here it is in outline form for you :)

I. Thesis statement. for example, Wilfred Owen's use of imagery in his poem "Dulce Est Decorum Et" emphasizes the point that war is not beautiful.
A. give a supporting reason. ex. His use of imagery is shown through the connotation of the poem.
B. supporting reason
C. supporting reason

II. Write A. in sentence form tying the thesis to it. Owen's use of imagery to depict that war is not beautiful can be seen through his use of connotation throughout the poem.
A. reason for this
B. reason
C. reason

III. sentence B from paragraph I.

IV. sentence C

V. Conclusion. Restate your thesis here.
A. restate first reason
B. second reason
C. third reason

hope this makes sense?

Make an outline.
State the topic. Expand on it.
Give details and explain the topic.
Give commentary on why you believe it.
Write a conclusion.
Check your spelling, grammar, punctuation and make sure there are no sentence fragments or run-ons. Have someone else read it to check for errors. Rewrite it.

i think i get what you mean.. cause i had the worst time with writing in my day.. lol.. it wasn't that long ago.. but one way that has helped me a lot.. is the process of which i call "brain-dumping".. don't think about how it's gonna sound.. just write whatever comes to mind.. don't even think.. just let your pen do the thinking.. then wen your done.. you could organize the info. this really helped me a lot.. don't worry if it doesn't sound "good".. it will if you just let it out smoothly.
