Republicans don’t even pretend to care about the well being of Americans, except of course for the monetary well being of the very wealthy. It is possible that they may actually believe that looking out for the interests of the very wealthy and of a few favored corporations will eventually somehow result in economic improvements for the rest of the populace.
I sometimes think that the Republicans exhibit contempt for ordinary Americans. They talk down to them and propagandize them. They try to distract them with simple-minded, emotionally-charged, largely irrelevant issues. They also exploit their patriotism and religious faith in order to elicit emotional reactions and support and to condemn opponents.
These methods may work for a while but most Americans have begun to realize the lack of concern displayed by the Republicans and their hypocrisy.

"They don't care about their health or welfare." Yes, you're right - all the yoga, Pilates and Turbo Kick classes are just to fill time. Has nothing to do with my health.
"They favor the rich over the middle and lower class." Um, yeah - that's why Republicans favor small government and lower taxes. Because they hate the middle and lower classes. I work with almost all liberals - only the really rabid lefties believe this drivel.
"They hate blacks, hispanics, and any other non-caucasian individuals." Yeah, that's why there was a Hispanic AG and not one but *two* blacks appointed to the highest office ever held by blacks. But don't let facts get in the way of a good rant!
"They hate taxes that are used to help people." What utter BS! The difference between the right and the left here is that the right thinks you should accept some responsibility for yourself. If you think that equals hatred, then yes, you're right. Personally, I'd *far* rather use tax dollars to supplement the income of the working poor than to pay some idiot to sit home and pop out kids like puppies. Why is it so wrong to expect you to be a contributing member of society? Unless there is something very seriously wrong with you, you can contribute. No one is going to give you money just because. Get over it.
"They distrust us and lie to us constantly." Okay - you made me laugh here! POLITICIANS lie. Period. Remember the words, "I did *not* have sexual relations with that woman!"?
"They use religion and God as a political tool." So - when a Democrat gets his/her picture taken attending church, that's...what, exactly ?
"When will the American people realize this and drive these terrorists out?" LMAO! Good luck with that, Skippy.
Another shining example of that lefty tolerance. But I'm sure you're too stubbornly partisan to see your own hypocrisy, aren't you?
Try YOGA.

I'm a Republican, I am middle class, have black friends and Hispanic nephews. I work hard for my money and expect others to do the same. I raised my own children and expect others to do the same. I am an atheist and don't use God at all, my son is in the military and my nephew like my husband and I was raised to be thankful for their service and others, I am a republican because I am conservative in my life and in my beliefs. I don't like wimps or whiners and expect people to take responsibility for themselves and their actions. I want no excuses and I give none. If that is the definition of a terrorist , then I think you will have a hard time getting America to drive me out, I am America Jay.

We care about the health and welfare of Americans, we just don't expect you to pay for john doe that has no desire to support himself. We believe in PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. It is not my duty to take care of someone because they make bad decisions, live an unhealthy lifestyle or are to dumb to take care of themselves. Besides, we already have medicaid for the poor and medicare for the elderly. What more do you libs want?
Tax cuts help everyone. The poor included. Democrats are the ones destroying the middle class and hampering the poor. Every meet anyone on welfare? Ask them how hard it is to get off welfare and get ahead! You can thank the dems for making them dependant on government.
We hate all non caucasians? Totally untrue! The preferrential treatment and government handouts the dems give minorities is detremental to minorities. It's the dems that fool minorities into thinking they care about them, but are in reality, keeping them from progressing.
Democrats and republicans alike lie, but I distrust the socialist driven, big government, big spending, power hungry party of the democrats much much more than republicans.
Democrats use class warfare, children, education and so called humanitarian causes as political tools.
When will YOU realize how corrupt democRATS are, and drive them out of power?

Just when I start to respect or at least see the rationale behind some portion of the Democrat platform, a "tolerant" gem like this pops-up and I recoil from the whole stinking mess in disgust.

Reps hate everything/everyone but them selves. It's always "ME ME ME" with them. They are only for themselves. Think about their party beliefs. They want less taxes, but expect their social security check to arrive on time. They want less govt in their lives, but plenty of govt. regulation other peoples lives. Reps stand for nothing. They only stand for what they oppose: Abortion, welfare, non-Christians, science, poor people, non-white people, the truth, the environment, stem cell research, gay rights, universal healthcare, personal freedoms, etc.
Reps only spread hate and exclusion. They are the most selfish people the planet has to offer. Their only strengths are their ignorance and greed. Truly the garbage of America.

Everything you have said reflects your own personal bias.
To play devil's advocate, here is how you sound:
Why do Democrats hate America?
They want to give all the tax-money of working Americans to unions, abortion clinics, tree-huggers, and illegal aliens who come here to exploit our country. They want to drive out all businesses from America and create a communist state. They prefer blacks and hispanics over whites and asians, and are even willing to give them extra points in college admission based on their skin color. They distrust us and lie to us constantly. They want to drive out religion from our country and destroy the moral fabric holding it together, installing a secular, atheist state in its place. And they are unwilling to defend the country militarily. When will the American people realize this and drive these demons out?

It's not hate. It's just thier idea of making the nation - and thus, it's people - better. Social programs and the taxes that fund them just retard economic development and create cycles of dependency. Similarly, programs that try to force equality or 'redress' past racism just foster more racial conflict and intollerance.
The Democrats run into a similar problem. They don't hate America, they'd just rather see it defeated in war than victorious in a war they find unjust. Better to learn a bitter lesson than to become evil. They don't want to make America a one-party communist state under thier iron rule, they just want to dish some social justice and keep the evil republicans out of power.

Yeah good way to sum it up you ignoramus. Next thing you are going to say is the democrats are the opposite of what you described. I like and dislike things from both parties but for personal reasons I lean more to the right, but I certainly don't fall under your description of a republican. You sound like you are pretty uneducated.
