I liked blade, loved blade II, I liked the underworld movies enough, loved lost boys as a kid. Coppola's Dracula blew my mid. But there seems there aren't enough good vampire movies out there.

Anyone can suggest a good one besides the ones I mentioned? Or werewolves movies too.

Not an american werewolf in paris please I hated that one... Cursed seemed promising and started so so, but it was disapointing at the end... So you get an idea of what I'd like to see and what not...

yes I also loved interview with the vampire and wolf, actually I read like four books of the vampire chronicles, too bad they didn't make the rest of them as movies, and with the same director and cast, that would've been awesome.

Jonathan B Do you know the name of that movie were a guy starts to transform into a werewolf inside a small cabin in the woods, I think he has long hair and a woman is in there, maybe with a child, the transformation is quite original causethe mouth of the wolf comes out of his own mouth, then an elder guy I think, comes in with a sword and cuts out his head, the head goes into a put that was cooking...

Interview with the Vampire is great and Queen of the Damned is pretty good. They're based on books by Anne Rice. Check them out sometime.

I'm not much of a vampire aficionado but I think I can help you with good werewolf movies. While werewolf movies are much harder find, I think these may be up your alley.

One of my favorites is "American Werewolf in London". I know you didn't like the sequel "American Werewolf in Paris" but please please please don't judge the original classic by it. The transformation scene alone is worth the watch. (Little fun fact: Because of this film, makeup and industry technological contributions became recognized by the Academy Awards in 1981. This film's visuals earned makeup artist Rick Baker the first ever Academy Award to be bestowed upon a special effects artist.)

Another favorite is a smaller budget British film called "Dog Soldiers".

Some people will say "The Howling" is a good werewolf film but I personally would stay away. That's just my opinion, however.

And if you're in for a bit of 80's comedy, "Teen Wolf" is always fun to watch.

Hope some other yahooites will have better answers for you in the Vampire category. Happy viewing!

What about THE HOWLING released in 1981 starring Dee Wallace and her husband in real life, Christopher Stone. Other well-known actors included John Carradine (spooky enough by himself !), Patrick Macknee (The Saint - ironically!), and Kevin McCarthy (original Invasion of the Body Snatchers - a classic, although no werewolves !)

THE HOWLING is one of my all-time favorites. Was so well-received that THE HOWLING 2 came out a few years later, but could not hold a candle (or even a silver bullet) to the first one!!

BY THE WAY, THE ACADEMY OF SCIENCE FICTION, FANTASY AND HORROR FILMS, USA awarded THE HOWLING 3 Saturn Awards: 1 for Best Horror Film, Best Special Effects, and Best Makeup when it was released in 1981.

You can't go wrong with the 1922 silent film Nosferatu (classic). You seem to like the action oriented, so what about From Dusk Till Dawn? As far as werewolf movies go I can't think of any other than cursed. Which was horrible. But you gotta admit it was hilarious to see that werewolf give the finger at the end.
