I was sitting w/ my friends at lunch near this guy i got a crush on. He was like so how did she get her extensions in and my friend was like i dont know why dont u ask her. I was right there but i just didnt say anything. I was waiting for him to ask me but he didn't. I dont know if hes shy or nervous or scared 2 talk to me or sumthin. hes a nice guy so i dunno whats wrong. hes jamaican and half white and half black.

So what's your question, sweetie? I think he's shy and nervous. You might be the first girl whose taken interest in him, and maybe the first full black girl, he's ever seen. Who really knows, except him? Feel free to talk to him. I doubt he'll bite. If he does, maybe he's simply hungry.

Maybe he's just embarrassed to ask you. Could mean something. Or else he knew you heard that, and thought it stupid you didn't just answer. Maybe. But more likely he was too shy or scared.
