Umm the LDS faith does not prepare polygamy. anyone discovered training that's immediately excommunicated. What I do think of that's, is that Tom Hanks, who positioned out a fact that LDS have been Un-American for helping Prop 8, is attempting to breakdown LDS marriage ceremonies with the intention to assist gay marriages. lots of the writers and people who're interior the bunch are Ex-Mormon and extremely plenty have animosity in the direction of Mormons/LDS and a brilliant style of them have been little question in want against prop 8. It has not something to do with zionism. i'm not even particular you already know what zionism is different than that that's a fervor to assist Israel.

First - it is against the law.

Second - in some society where is is acceptable, then of course maybe it can work - they have it as a norm. Here is is not the norm and while some people practice it, they are breaking the law and cannot live openly - sound like fun to you?

Third - that is a television show - anything can work there

Well Big love can say whatever. That's only on HBO, TV, fantasy land. In the real world, were you and the rest of the world lives, it'll never work. Period.

you can't compare cheating with polygamy. totally different scenarios. however, if a man wants two or more mates and it works for them, who's to say what's right? provided the legal marriage is with only one of the wives. personally, i don't think it's a good thing but, i'm not in a position to judge others beliefs.

Polygamy has been working in the real world for thousands of years. Ask any cultural anthropologist.

In Utah polygamy is legal. I think it is the only state in the United States that it is legal. I am sure there are regulations though to it. I think if it is part of your religion, you can practice it.

I don't think that Big Love is about a man who thinks he's the Love Horse and he wants lots and lots of women. It's about people working together as a team to create a family. Most men don't get that. They think it's all about them and their self centered needs.

in alot of poly arrangements, the husband collects the welfare $$$ that his supposed 2nd or 3rd wife recvs since in the states eyes, she's technically a single mom. makes me kinda sick. i think it could only work w/educated people & w/women making the decisions (even if xtra wife involved)

If you can find people that are comfortable with themselves, it can work. When someone starts feeling insecure, it causes friction in the group.
