Work clothes ideas?

I just got my first job as a file clerk and im only 17. But i need clothing ideas that are comfortable but still professional at the same time. And for shoes is it okay if i wear a canvas type shoe like the vans because i have only worn a heel once in my life and are not comfortable with them yet.

DO NOT WEAR VANS! Those are inappropriate. Try ballet flats if you don't like heels, they're comfy but professional.

Office work that may or may not have contact with the public, would require simple, quiet, modest clothing.

Leather flat shoes can also be comfortable, yet casual or semi-dress, and would be considered professional.

Dress pants in a solid color (not a tight or baggy jean cut)
-if cotton, be sure to iron them, you don't want a rumpled look.

Skirt, if you can move without showing off your panties, and climb stairs without tripping

Professional legs wear nylons.

Simple shirt or sweater in a " modest" style, (meaning covered belly, shoulders, cleavage and breasts not playing peek-a-boo as you move and bend over) . A layered look can look good, with an overshirt or jacket

Jewelry, keep it simple. Maybe a chain necklace and a watch, maybe your school ring.

I would dress in dress pants or capri's with cute tops and as far as shoes look for some cute little flats or ballet slipper styles. They can be very trendy and comfy. Enjoy your new job.

you should wear stuff like what teachers where. it can be like shirts, with black formal pants. or shirts with kneelegnth skirts. you should probably wear heels or flats.
