One that likes butterflies? Do you let 'em live or collect? Or just have a handle for your avatar? Nevermind; silly questions, absolutely no reason for them! I'm sorry...
I would carve the jadedness from the heart. I'd give it a whatchacallit to jump start it. I'd then do my best to comfort it a bit and allow it a peaceful hour or two. That's all the carving.
The heart then needs to rebuild itself by looking around (metaphorically on all of this) and especially up; look up.
Good luck.

I had to think about this for awhile because I thought you meant a heart made out of jade.
I would carve a bed for it, to lay down on and sleep it's weary woe's off.

I would carve the largest cup I could, and then I would sit with it and watch. I would move it closer to cool raindrops, warm sun and happy words. Mindfully, I would bring the cup everywhere until it filled with the pleasantness of life, and then I would give it some privacy in which to remember how to enjoy it.

From my own heart? Nothing.
From someone else's heart? Nothing.
We carve our own hearts, and how we do so is our choice (not to say that hcoice isnt affected by others).

I would carve a duplicate of Joannie Cunningham and then take her to Arnold's for a frappe and a burger.

Summitry as for when the tarred parts unite.
The sweet sorrow of failure to remind me of how kind success is.
The sour eyes of another to brighten my view.
