okay uhm so is semper somnium correct latin? like maybe meaning always dreaming..? cuz someone got it as a tattoo and it doesn't seem right for me..I took latin for four years..so i don't know..

You're 100% right. 'Somnium' is the literal translation of the noun "dream" but as it has been used (at the nominative) can't translate "dreaming" but "dream".
It might be used with "in" at the ablative but at the ablative 'somnium' changes into "somnio" (sing.) or "somnis" (plur.). Therefore 'always in the dream' must be translated as "semper in somnio" while 'always in the dreams' would be "semper in somniis".
However 'dreaming' must be correctly considered instead as the present gerund tense of the verb 'to dream' and then correct translation into Latin would be "semper somniando'.
