don't you think the "11" is confusing? they look for the number 11 on the phone not two 1s!

Well, 0 is for the operator...but I see what you mean. However, if it was only one or two numbers they would constantly be dialed on accident within other phone numbers. The numbers 911 never appear within another number because no matter what it always goes through to the emergency line.

lol
you have a point...but i mean, that MIGHT be confusing to very small children. if anyone is afraid that the child will be confused, they need to go over on how to dial the emergency number.

123 might be easier? lol

to late, i think they pretty much have it down, about the only way to make it simpler is to have it on speed dial on your own phone and make the one number necessary for dialing it a special color. but then they would look for that on someone elses phone and it wouldn't be there....911 is pretty universal and is easily taught with a play phone for practice. none of my kids were ever confused with it or any of my friends kids.~♥~

If the kid cant figure out "911", then maybe it would be better for the gene pool if they dont survive an emergency.

good point. maybe 3 of the same number, or 123, or just equipping all phones with a big red button for emergencies

I'd go with 111, you should tell your children 9 1 1 not 9 eleven.
