man, Subaru did a great job on designing the 5 door impreza! Looks just like Mazda 3 hatch. what do u think about it?

It seems to me that the 08 Impreza does not fit well with many strong Impreza fans. However, the decreased weight, improved fuel economy, better crash test results, more subtle styling, increased interior room, smoother ride, more upscale (or should I say less cheap) interior and better overall refinement will all greatly appeal to the mass-market. Subaru can't live on niche markets alone, and die-hard WRX fans are a very small market. If the Impreza's sales greatly increase because of its greater mass-market appeal, then it's a success for Subaru.
As for WRX fans... Well, I'll reserve judgement of the 08 until the STI version comes out. For the moment, however, in my opinion, the 08 Impreza needs a more muscular appearance to live up to the WRX name. For some reason, the distinctly chunky look of the previous Impreza really appealed to me, particularly the 04-05 models.

Im a hardcore Suby fan and I don't know how some of the designers still have their jobs...
The 08 hatch is ugly in my opinion.
The Tribeca was a disaster.
The Baja was a disaster.
Rear roof spoiler on the newer Sti's????? Wtf.
Go back to the Impreza GC8 body style(98-01 best)

Subaru screwed up with the redesign - front end and back end are hideous. I have a WRX, was thinking of upgrading, but I'll need to wait to see the next design change, before upgrading or jumping ship to another company

The 08 hatchback is an abomination.
I'll be looking at an 07 WRX wagon when I buy my next car.

hate all the new subarus coming out except the STI..i love it something about the world rally blue on gold with that mean black grill....plus the bumped performance...i might trade in my 04 wrex for one some were along the line.

Ugly! I absolutely hate it. They did it to please the generic trendy morons.
The old body style had power. It signified it. It was a performance car. Now it's the family's grocery getter with attitude. That's alright, but I want the "I have to go get my groceries in this car because it's fast"
