Whenever I was feeling down, I used to call my sister, but she died 2 years ago. Now I go out for a walk and talk to people.
Somehow, there's always someone who is a little more down than me. Talking to them and trying to help them helps me. It's always a good idea to realize how lucky you are and no matter how bad things may be, there's someone else who has it a lot worse.

Go put on Corrine Bailey Rae's "Girl, Put Your Records On" and dance around the kitchen! Listen to the lyrics. Watch the old movie "Big" or "Wedding Crashers;" guaranteed to make you laugh out loud. Eat some ice cream.

Be positive, put yourself into a new different stuff...
Think about different things...
Start a new project, that always works on me...
Hear new music... (if you get your common music, there is always that very special song, that puts you down back again, so avoid your traditional "playlist")
Go out by yourself and buy something new... (it always turns my mood on!!!!)
Read silly questions/answers... it will make you smile...
Get into job... that will distract you so bad, that you will hardly remember if you were down...
