I'm coming from an abusive mother, who as I got older has been verbally abusive to the extreme. And when I was younger, physically. Basically, I'm sick of her crap.

At 20 years old I'm a recent college graduate and ready to leave. I have a lot of bills that are preventing me from saving money to move and even buy myself clothes. Is there some type of government assistance? At least with help paying rent? Anything really.

Thanks

In response to an answer left by someone a little rude:

I DO have a job and I DON"T create bills for myself. I pay for my cell phone bill, car insurance, health insurance, credit card, gas and food. Nothing there is the result of anything too fun. It's called responsibility and moving out is just the next step. Rent is all I'd need help with since living in L.A. is pricey.

You can always get help from your father provided he is still around. If not, try your grandparent on both sides provided they are still around. If not, maybe you can see if you can move in with a friend who you can trust and rely on.

If you have a degree, get a job and move out. It's not so hard. Maybe you and a college buddy can split rent on an apartment, or you can stay with someone else while you save enough for your own place. I'd also advise not buying any clothes until you get yourself together and pay some rent.

There aren't any government subsidies for unhappy and broke college grads that I know of.

get a job. Quit spending and creating bills. Time for you to grow up. Your mother is probably just as tired of you living under her roof as you are being there.
