I bought it new last year and I followed some procedure I found online to find the name of my graphics card, but the name and manufacturer were blank. I'm getting an error message stating my video card drivers or either not updated or not supported but I can't confirm which one it is because I can't find info on my graphics card.

If it has no graphics card, you can NOT connect a monitor.

1st Possibility (most likely)- you have integrated graphics or VGA. Its driver is usually in one of the CDs that came with your PC. It is also possible to download the driver from the website of the motherboard maker. Try using CPUZ, then select Mainboard tab.

2nd Possibility- your machine uses a proprietary graphics card that is why there is very limited info in the internet. Driver comes in a CD or can be downloaded from website of your PC manufacturer.

Click start, click Run, type dxdiag, ok. Select Display tab. If your device and driver are there, test your graphics. If no device or driver, you really need to install the driver.

yeh some pc dnt have graphics cards as such

they have a on board which shares resources on mother board to run graphics altho this sound more like a driva problem

open pc up and look inside u will notice at the top slot (pci-e, or agp) if theres a card that plugs in to mointor u have a graphics card carefuly take it out read name on it or u can check in the bios first before open pc

if there is no card there and the slot empty look on board should say agp 8x or pci-e 16x or somthing with a basic make like nforce 2 or gefore 4 or what ever

to check in bios when pc boots u need to press f2 or del usaly but read it should say on the first screen some other pc call it setup

and u cant fully reli on where u plug ur monitore in (if its in top slot of pc some on baord cards have a bit to stick there to make it look like a graphics card especialy newer 1s with dvi and stuff on them that for person 2 down)

If you plugged your monitor directly to your motherboard than yes you do not have a graphics card. If you're like me your using your graphics chip that is on your motherboard. If you plug your monitor into a card that is plugged into your motherboard then, you have a graphics card.

Right click my computer->properties->hardware tab->device manager->find and click monitors->right click plug and play and choose properties

where it says Location is the type of graphics installed on the chipset on the mother board........the first name is the manufature of that chipset and you can do a search online for that company

Best thing to do is have a qualified technician open the computer and physically look to see if there is a graphics card. If there is one, have new (correct) software driver(s) for it installed. Good luck.
