Well I write alot of songs and stuff so maybe I can help? lol um you need to have a topic that you feel strongly about or that means something to you. Just take everything you want to say and simplify it into lyrics. Its eaiser to write the melody first and build the verses around it. It doesn't have to ryhme thats where alot of people make mistakes, if everything ryhmes it sounds like something outa Dr.Suess! After you get the lyrics done you can do the music, I think its easier to get the lyrics first, but you can do it anyway you want. Well good luck lol hope I helped some!

Bad ***??? Takes lyrics that make you think, that you can relate to and that flow like water. A kick-*** beat that you can feel the words to. And you have to be able to perform it better than what it sounds like on a recording. When you can relate to a song and really belt it out, that's what makes a song bad *** to me.

luck. they just sort of come to you. all of my bands songs that are considered "badass" by our peers were sort of written on a whim. but it takes lots of practice and after a while songs just come to you. atleast thats how it works for my band...
