Mucous plug?

I started losing my mucous plug 3 days ago, but when I got my membranes stripped at my appointment yesterday I have had a TON more come out. I swear, it seem like there is at least a half a cup of mucous that has come out so far. Is this normal? It seems like an awful lot...

It can be normal since stripping your membranes will also cause irritation and irritation will cause your body to produce extra mucus. As long as it doesn't smell bad and you aren't running a fever you should be okay. Doesn't hurt to call your doctor to let him know also.

MIne came out 4 weeks before going itno labor.
