He was, how shall I put this for a lady, sitting on the potty doing his doody. He made some gestures to a policeman who was in the next stall. Those gestures are the kind that people make under restroom stalls when they are soliciting sex from someone else. He also reached under the stall, palm up, supposedly looking for some tissue he said he dropped on the floor. When the police man identified himeself and asked Larry Craig to exit the stall Craig was arrested. He was originally charged with soliciting for a sex act but plead guilty to a lesser charge of disorderly conduct. He admitted to what he was doing. Later, once it became public he recanted his admission. He also said he was going to resign, as requested by leaders in his party but now he wants to change his mind. This doesn't sound like a very stable individual to me. Perhaps he needs a nice long rest in his home state of Idaho. If he doesn't resign the Senate ethics committee is likely to ask him to step down for the good of the Senate.
What is ironic is that this man who was caught soliciting homosexual sex was one of the Senate's greatest opponents of gays and gay rights. Hypocracy seems to have reared it's ugly little head agin in the GOP. It has not been a good year for them.

He pled guilty to Disorderly conduct, a deal taken to plea down from soliciting sexual conduct in a bathroom stall from an undercover officer.

He was by himself in the bathroom. He was trying to have anonymous bathroom sex with an undercover officer in the next stall.

Apparently, unbeknownst to anyone else, he had appointed himself the litter specialist and was therefore groping around on the floor for spare bits of paper.
