The silly theories? Oh you mean cutting the top marginal tax rate from 78% to 35%. Please do not forget that his silly theories also brought the Soviet Union down. Others will argue that it was not because of his strategy, but history is tough to argue with. Before Reagan became president, inflation was double digit, interest rates on home mortages were nearly 20%, and unemployment hovered around 11%. Liberals hated, and still hate today his idea of trickle down economics, but because of this silly theory, federal tax revenue skyrocketed, unemployment dropped drasticly, and inflation dropped to the point it is today, meaning essentualy non existant. Because of his silly theories, our economy boomed, in fact it was the biggest non-war time boom in history, and this boom continues today. No wonder that liberals hated him and hate his ideas today. His theories proved that liberalism is a flawed belief system that has failed every time it has been tried. One of my favortite traits that he had, was that he went around the press, and spoke to the people. One strike against him was the fact that he was such a great communicator, that all other presidents pale in comparison.

......was a man who made all his money by being a member of The Actors' Guild, and a union actor......yet, he got into office and turned on the working class. He got every cent of movie royalties that he had coming, too., while not fighting for other actors that were cheated out of their residuals .

READ history, rather than lazily listening to Rush and Fox News. History is quite clear on his impact and it is not all good.
