It is B.S. everyday Yankees this Red Sox that I mean what is the point if it always about those two teams, they need to pay attention to other teams a little bit more, Red Sox and Yankees probably have the weakest race for the playoffs and the still say Yankess swept the Red Sox but, Boston still has a seven game lead.

Any one else tired of hearing that Tom Brady is a new dad? How about the feud between A-Rod and Jeter? ESPN is a shill for teams from Boston and New York. I'm so sick of Tom Brady and his ******* girlfriend I could puke. Stuart Scott is a circus clown. Think you'd hear this garbage if Brady played in Kansas City or Jeter in Tampa Bay?

They play the games that will draw the most viewers. Sorry to break this to you, but the Yanks and the Red Sox have more people that will watch. Commercials pay the bills, and money is the name of the game.

Think of it this way.

Two games
One game has the two best teams in the AL east. New York Vs Boston.
The other game has the two worst teams in the NL east. Washington vs Florida.

Which game will more people watch? Which companies would pay for commercials to be shown for which game?

Money. plain and simple.

Also, think of this. Without the Yanks and Sox, there would be no revenue sharing and the league would be a much more bleak landscape. The Yanks gave 77 million to other teams in 2006. that's alot of money to spread around to more poor teams.

I just realized they are playing the Dodgers @ Cubs on ESPN tonight.

Like it or not, Boston and the Yankees have the most watched rivalry in Sports and that is why ESPN covers them so closely. In years past, the Red Sox have had such a lead and the Yankees have come back and taken it away so it really is not so farfetched as you may think. I am sure it must get very old to fans of other teams and I can understand that but, that is the reasoning behind ESPN's coverage.

Im a die hard red sox fan and wish they didnt have so many games nationally. The announcers are so bad, Im not going to get into that though. Im not going to lie they do play to many Sox, Yankees, Angels, Mets and Phillies games on ESPN. I have extra inning so idc but that Brewers/CUbs would be a nice nationally telivized game

There was a fan on here who made a thing for espn and the E said East Coast..it made me laugh so hard. But anyway..EPSN's head quarters is in Conneticut (like someone else said) so I guess they pay attention around the teams their because their local.

Personally, I don't really watch espn so it doesn't bother me like it might some! I don't think it would kill them to show someone else besides Sox or Yanks.

The unvarnished reality is that in all baseball the two teams that 'travel' the best...increase the home teams attendance the most... is (you guessed it) the Red Sox #1 and Yankees #2 this year. ( Last year they were reversed and the year before was Boston #1 and NY #2.) It is simply about advertising dollars and fan interest. The only drama this year is whether or not NY can make the Wild Card in the American League. The division winner is going to be Boston.

the East coast biased. ESPN is located in CT. I can't stand ESPN if your team isn't from the east coast or the west coast they rarely talks about them. I get sick and tired seeing the Yankees and Red Sox series being aired on ESPN. I say lets protest ESPN!!!
