That wouldn't surprise me at all. Look how the government shunned New Orleans after Katrina; that wouldn't have happened if most of the victims had been wealthy, white and Republican.
As for some of the insulting answers received from some of the answerers: maybe you should all grow up, act a bit more mature, and thank your lucky stars that you're not 'poor'. There but for the grace of God go YOU. -RKO- 09/05/07

It does have something to do with deregulation and how well that's working. And the people that complain the loudest and have the deepest pockets will have less blackouts. It's been a problem since the earlt 90s. Watch "Enron-the smartest guys in the room" to learn more.
