Do the clothes you bring in HAVE to be brand name? And how do they pay you and how much are the clothes compared to the original price?

yeah pretty much.
they want gently used brand name clothes for teens from brands like abercrombie, hollister, american eagle, etc.
plato's closet does not really pay a lot for your clothes... but it depends on the condition, quality, style, color, and brand of the clothes you are selling.
my friend went there to sell some shirts and jeans, and they paid her about $3 for each shirt and i think $5 for the jeans.
and they were american eagle and hollister shirts that were about a year old. the jeans were from american eagle and they originally cost her $50 (i dont know why she bought $50 jeans from ae but that is a rip off)
anyways check their website for more info:

and heres the list of brands they take:

good luck! =]

They have to be namebrand, and they have to look practicaly like they would in the store. They pay you according to how good the condition is and what the brand is. The clothes to buy there are like $15 for a pair of jeans and like $6-20 for a top. But I am not sure, people just told me because I have never been there. Hope this helps!

The clothes have to be brand name and made within the last few seasons. They pay you around 1/10th of what you think you should get. In cash.

Typically you sell brand name things. But you can sell things from target, payless etc. They pay you 30-40 percent of what they sell it for.It has to be in good condition normally though. You can sell clothes, shoes, bags.

They also have good prices on gently used name brand items.

You step into the closet and emerge 5 minutes later wearing a toga and commenting on philosophical aspects of the government.
