Because Blix and the other inspectors had inspected more than 400 sites between November, 2002 and February, 2003. They had found no WMD, and Saddam was becoming increasingly cooperative. Yes, they threatened to undermine Bush's primary casus belli.

as a results of fact Bush became into desperate to invade Iraq. This invasion became right into a protracted held neocon want. 9/11 provided the possibility to drum up help for the belief and to enforce it. If the UN inspectors have been allowed to end their inspections and, of direction, did no longer discover any WMDs, human beings in Congress could have appeared on the intelligence slightly extra intently. The media and extra persons in Congress could have definitely heavily puzzled the invasion plan and the want for it . that could have led to no invasion of Iraq in any respect.

Because Bush was determined to invade Iraq. This invasion was a long held neocon wish. 9/11 provided the opportunity to drum up support for the idea and to implement it.
If the UN inspectors had been allowed to finish their inspections and, of course, didn't find any WMDs, people in Congress may have looked at the intelligence a little more carefully.
The media and more individuals in Congress may have actually seriously questioned the invasion plan and the necessity for it . That could have resulted in no invasion of Iraq at all.

Bush feared that if he did, and no weapons were found that all the excuses to invade would be invalid, and he badly wanted to do that as he thought the Iraq people would be ready to kiss his A** and give us all the oil that we wanted, you see George lives in the world of a spoiled brat and this is how they operate.

It's tied up with the death of David Kelly, imo.
All the handwriting on the wall seemed to indicate that proof there was no WMD was imminent.
What to do now?

Our president had to have "his war", for the purpose of having unlimited photo-ops and getting his image made in the media. Unfortunately, the image made of Bush out of Iraq is one of evil intent and poor leadership.

Why did Saddam play a cat and mouse game with the inspectors. Kicking them out, not letting them inspect the palaces, not giving them unfettered access.
I blame Saddam not the President of the United States. I will side with America on this one!
