homogeneous only has one type of substance in it, like the salt. heterogeneous has many different types of individual substances in it not chemically bonded to each other like the energy drink.

A physical change results from the matter changing state, i.e. crumpling up paper. A chemical change results from the chemical makeup of the matter is changed, i.e. burning said crumpled paper.
