In reading the classic "The Republic of Plato" this line really caught my eye. I am good with words, but have always been afraid of numbers. Now I am wondering if I missed something. And if a comprehension of geometry would help as I search for the "truth" of my life.

Very good intuition !! Wholeheartedly agree. See this on sacred geometry, very important to becoming a wise human http://www.sacred-geometry.com/sacredgeometry.html

Also, check out *The Dimensions of Paradise* by John Michell. There's amazing wisdom and "power" in numbers, and their associated frequencies, as well.

And, i recommend the following to you -- very unusual and complex, but i think you're on "the track", and the earlier the better http://www.keylonticdictionary.org/Words/Y/Yunasai.htm Start here and work your way through the site. Amazing stuff. Good luck :))

Reincarnation Ridiculous?? No, I wouldn't say that exactly. ... I would say that the whole idea is banana's! You'd have to be completely "Looney Tunes" to believe in that!! .... Just Think about it. IF this is really what happens to us all after death, "Where is Everybody?" ... FACT 1/ The population of today's world, is not equal to the amount of people who have lived & died in the past. ... This means that if more people have lived in the past than are alive today, then where are all the other people who do not have bodies to reincarnate into? It also means that if More people are alive today than in the whole of history,, how is it that only SOME of these people contain a reincarnated person? If we are all just recycled, it means that many people on earth today Do NOT have souls or spirits!! These people Do Not have a reincarnated 'Life Force', so how can they even exist? ... It is Not Possible! .... OR Look at it This Way,,, Someone will say that our Life Force is Energy & our bodies are just a container for them. Someone will say that Energy goes on & on even after the container is destroyed. Well, are you Sure about that? .... If our bodies were an electrical power station & our life force was the electricity generated, that would be fine as long as the power station is working. But What happens when it is made to stop & no longer work at all? The Body would be dead. Energy, is not only created, it must also be continually 'fuelled' for it to continue to exist. Once that power station stops working, creating fuel for electricity, the electricity Ceases To Exist! ... So,, If it has nothing else to go into, if it is not being Generated & pumped into another power station or households, then the electricity or "Life Force" Ceases to Exist. ..... When a Power station is shut down, does the electricity alreay created continue to light up your house & work your appliances? ... NO. So how can anyone believe in Reincarnation, unless they have some severe mental disability???.............................. EDIT:::: Of course,, I 'Could' be Wrong! ... & If I am Wrong & If there really IS Reincarnation & IF we get a choice of what to be reincarnted as,,,, then I'll choose to 'come back' as the drill of an oil well. That way,, I will get to screw the world!

I used to fail in math because i was afraid of it. Fortunately, I met a great grandson of Sam Clemens who was my teacher in a summer school geometry class. He had some of that family irreverence and told me that Euclidean geometry would not make me smarter, help me be more logical, or matter one little bit to the universe because there are no straight lines, no perfect anything in the real world. Geometry is a pure abstraction . It is a game with its own set of rules called axioms and hypotheses. He told me to play it just like a game and forget the other stuff. After that I got As all the way into 2 years of college physics and advanced calculus.
If you want the truth of your life and everyone else's, remember that we are all children of the universe along with all other beings and non-beings. None of us are separate, even though we are unique places of the same reality.
All of thinking life is controlled by what we believe to be true.
If you change your beliefs, you will change your environment.
This was originated in India, refined in China by Tientai, and made available to everyone by Nichiren Daishonin
All that glory talk worked 2500 years ago when Europe was discovering abstraction. That was them, you are now.

It may, and it may help me too, as I've had the barest glimpse of quantum physics, where I think the real knowledge is, and without geometry as a starting point how am I going to get to physics?

I already flunked physics, taking it as a first term class at a good four-year college, and it scared me away from any classes with numbers... (obviously I only got through three years at that school). Anyway we can seek and find another way, or just read about quantum physics and see what sinks in. Good luck to us both!

No.
I quickly read some of this sh-t.
I got straight D's and F's in geometry, but the teacher liked me and passed me so that's good enough for me.
