To use exponents, ALL the things that get multiplied together must be the same thing.

Here, you have 6 times x*x*x*x*x (the 6 will have to be kept separate).

you can replace the five x multiplied together by a x with a small 5 up and to the right. But on "answers" many of us can't do that on our keyboards, so we use a caret ^.

6*x*x*x*x*x = 6*x^5 (six times x to the fifth power).

Often, the star is omitted in these expressions:

6x^5 or 6 x^5 usually mean the same thing as 6*x^5

6x^5 is what you will see most often on this site.

You probably need the parentheses or else you'll be putting in a completely different equation!
