Isn't it the republicans that concern themselves with the lives/conduct of gay people? So if the republicans are concerned with gay peoples private conduct, then why are gay republicans private conduct off limits?
"In another development today, Craig's attorney told the Senate Ethics Committee in a letter that the case should be closed without sanction against Craig. In an interview, Stanley Brand said that the committee generally does not reprimand senators for misdemeanors or sanction them for behavior that does not involve their official conduct."

shouldn't larry craig have quit the hypocray when he got caught being a gay sex feind?
now he has taken the hypocrysy to yet another level- he now wants to say they should be able to bash gays personal lives. But their own gay lives should not be bashed?
enough with the hypocracy already. he has dug himself an even larger (if even possible) hole of hypocracy! what a fool!

They are the "do as I say, not as I do" party, so yes, as far as they are concerned, members of their party are off limits in regards to personal conduct.

Their personal conduct wouldn't be off limits if the Democrats weren't hamstringing themselves with their support of the gay agenda. Anyone who says the Craig incident doesn't have anything to do with homosexuality is full of fecal matter. But that is exactly what the Democrats are saying. Apparently they believe that they have to say that, because they're afraid that they might offend someone. That's why the Democrats don't represent anything anymore. They try to be too many things to too many people. So they are becoming nothing.

Can't you read your own post? "...the committee generally does not reprimand senators for misdemeanors or sanction them for behavior that does not involve their official conduct." What part of that don't you understand? Craig wasn't convicted of any felonious sex act.

Personal conduct of ANY public "servants" should NEVER be off limits.
So how come Ted Kennedy and William Jefferson are still in office?
Democrats have NEVER held their partners in crime responsible for THEIR actions.
Nancy Pelosy, where is that promise of High Ethical Standards you guaranteed you would enforce?
Almost ALL Democrats have NO ethics what so ever!

Yeah, he was a closet case all right. Of course, he was only interested in sex with men, not marriage, so I guess it makes sense that he's a republican-- the illegality of gay marriage wasn't even an issue to him. He's probably one of those people who doesn't even consider himself gay because he's only in it for the sex, not commitment.

It's a Republican double-standard.
Get used to it.
They have no real morals or ethics left anymore.
