that's purely too quickly to get into the race. that's the 1st time in our historic past that it has all started so quickly. Hilary is hopeful that she would be able to run the different applicants out of money and he or she would be able to be the nominee this way. Fred Thompson won't throw his hat interior the hoop till probable November. he will save a ton of marketing campaign money that way. there is not any reason to start up so quickly. each voter would be uninterested in the excellent situation via election time. and that's Hilary's plan.

Has he finally announced it, or is he announcing that he will announce it? Wait, didn't he announce that he was going to make an announcement about announcing his candidacy? Or was there an announcement before that?

I'm so excited anyway! Other countries make history by electing a woman as leader--America has made history by electing a chimp and may well be on the way to electing a basset hound! I can't wait to see what will be next! The Republicans have got this whole animal theme going!

I like Fed Thompson personally, but I DON'T like Lawyers in the Presidency and I don't think Senators have as much experience in running ANYTHING as Governors do.
I like both Thompson and Huckabee.
Huckabee would be my choice but I DON'T like his ideas regarding TAXES.
I'll have to wait to see more details.
It is STILL too early to decide an election that is SO far in the future.

I don't even think Thomson is very excited about it!

But I think the groups that he appeals to are the social conservatives and the right-wing-religious-nuts. Up until now they've had to choose between the lesser of three evils: a crossdresser, a Mormon, and a geriatric, secular, warmonger. They'd prefer the ghost of Jerry Falwell, but at least they can "pretend" that Thomson stands for "traditional" values.

Well, compared to those already in the race, he'll add a touch of class and intelligence to the debates - his speaking voice and range makes for enjoyable listening, even when the ideas spoken contradict one's entire belief system.

Not me.
Why would the GOP even nominate an ambulance chasing trial lawyer turned paid lobbyist?
Not to mention the whole "Hollywood Elite" thing.
