I'll give you a hint, and you can write it.

Basically, there are two things you should know.

1. People are often judged on how they look, because people see them before they get to know them, so first impressions are very important.

2. When people are dressed well and all fixed up, they feel better about themselves, and that makes them act better. They ACT important, because they FEEL important.

That should help you.

If a person feels really good about himself, and likes himself, then others will like him, too. If a person is dressed like a bum, he will feel like a bum, and will be perceived by others and treated like a bum. If a person dresses like an executive, he will feel important like an executive, and others will treat him well, as though he were an executive.

It's all about perception.

.

P.S. Sunny, you're right. I don't have enough points to give you a thumbs-up yet.

If this is your homework, you need to write your own homework so that you get the genuine credit for the work. If others do your homework, then they should get the credit for their statements. Its like a copyright. Just tell what you think it means. That is what your teacher wants to know most likely in the first place. If you want to know my opinion of "Why clothes make the man" that is a different story, but even then, you cannot take my opinion and use it for your own or it is plagurism and punishable by law just like a copyright is. I suggest you look up all the words both in their meanings and also find their synonyms. Then tell in your own words what YOU think it means.
