Hey, I was just wondering why most of the world uses the AD/BC Calender system even though most of the world isn't christian? Thanks

Wrong, we, in western society use such calendar heavily. Indeed everyone knows it as a refernece, just like most of the world use the dollar as a form of international currency evebn though pounds and Euros are more valuable. Since the economy is dominated, and has been for a few hundred years, by Western societies everyone uses dollars and knows the Christian calendar.
The other reason is that the Christian calendar is based on the solar cycles and not on lunar cycles like the Muslim or Chinese, hence, a solar calendar is more accurate.

Europe basically concurred the whole world and made all of their territories use the same system. It's continued until today even after Europe stopped controlling every country for convention. It would be really hard if every nation had a different system of history.
The system is now the BCE/ CE system, but it's the same thing with a different name.

They have actually switched it recently. The politically correct term for BC is now BCE which stands for "Before Common Era".

now they use BCE for Before Christian Era and CE for Christian Era.
