buggar all in quality. I get a telly mag and most days there is just nothing interesting on. Just reality shows, celebrity crap, soaps.

I wasn't alive in the 70s and early part of the 80s, but I totally agree with you. We've got 200 channels to choose from, but all of them are filled with crap like reality t.v. shows that are about the same thing.

Television these days is a load of cr@p compared to the 70s and 80s.I remember things like the 6 million dollar man and Starkey and Hutch and the quiz programmes and comedy things like Robins nest. Now it's just reality shows and soaps and rubbish like that.Ive got sky hd and never hardly watch anything on it even though i have the full package i prefer sit and watch something like price drop tv.What a waste of sky subscription and tv license money

I think it actually was better then. One reason was that most TV series had at least 22 episodes per season. You didn't see any reruns until the summer and that was a good way to catch up on episodes you missed during the regular season.

Crumbs! when I was young it was just the BBC and the other(ITV). Had to wait till the mid-to-late 60's before we got BBC2! There was Rediffusion that gave you more than one ITV channel.

I know what you mean. But I still only get 4 terrestrial channels. 5 never turned up. Still, it sounds crap anyway.
