As odd as this sounds my boyfriend's ex wife is wiccan. She had a head priestess take two snap shots of him in which she said his aura is very dark and then refused to use that camera again and threw it out saying he'd cursed it. She and his ex wife filled his head full of stuff about him having demon blood of stygian running through his veins. It bothers him and I'm trying to find reference to such a demon online and can only find fictional characters in games of stygian. Anyone have any knowledge of said demon or references in mythology to it that I can read through...his ex just really peeves me off!!!!!!!!!!

She sounds like a nut job to me. I certainly woudn't be worried about it. The only references I could find were to Conan stories and some video games.

Stygian refers to to the Styx, a river supposed to separate the world of the living and the world of the dead in ancient Greece. There are nowadays groups calling themselves Stygian. Good... Your boyfriend should be aware if he is a demon or not. Can he do anything extraordinary? He seems to have issues with people in his past. Either you don't give a toss or you are concerned enough, and then my advice is to steer well clear away from it if you are not able to deal with them.

try checking refrences to TV shows and Movies. many people get all of their beliefs from shows like Charmed, Angel, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Movies like The Craft, and The Covenant.

throwing the camera away and refuseing to use it, kind of convienent don't you think? why would a Wiccan High Priestess not simply remove the curse. (that is a rather simple matter in most cases)

My pendilum tells me that the name is false. and that no demon or spirit goes by that name. i would like to check some other devices that i do not have avaliable to me right now. but with the guy that dowsed it, and such. i feel confident that it is people messing with his head.

funny thing about Wicca. anyone can read a book get the basics, and then declair themself a high Priest or priestess.
you have to be careful who you trust.

JUST IN CASE.

even if he does have the blood of a demon or other being running in his veins. it is still his life and his soul. that cannot change who he is. or who he was meant to be.

Roman poets, like Virgil, speak of Stygia and the Stygian daemones. Here the word Stygia is just a synonym for the underworld. I think Dante also uses the term in his "Inferno." So . . . a "Stygian demon" is really just any demon from Hell. Although the river Styx also occurs in Christian descriptions, so it might also refer to Demons of that river.

If you like THE Stygian Demon would be Charon. He is the daemon of Greek mythology, who ferries the dead across the river Styx, but he also occurs in medieval Christian descriptions of Hell (e.g. in Dante).

"Stygian" is an adjective derived from the noun "Styx" which is the river of the underworld in mythology. It is not the name of a demon.

I've never heard of this particular demon. After reading your question I considered it worth a channel, so I dowsed it.

For what it's worth, someone's playing head games with your boyfriend.
