I would say to him: It is always an honor to meet the President of the United States.

I respect the title not the person currently holding it. So that is a pretty safe statement to make without making an idiot of myself.

Just because I do not agree with many of his policy decisions, that is no reason to disrespect the man.
Or disrespect the office of President of the United States.
