Im kind of like that in a way. I could care less if I go out sometime. But I did notice that if I make plans a few days in advance then I am less likely to go out. So I normally make plans the day Im going to get out so I cant change my mind.

Are you lazy? Only YOU can answer that one.
Well, yes, it is probably mostly because you are a teen. You may feel depressed or disinterested, or bored because you DON't GO OUT. It's like a cycle. you don't go out, you get bummed, and bored, so you don't go out, then you don't go go out some more.
When you don't move, you want to do more of that. When you DO move, you want to do more of that.
My suggestion? Go out once a day, just to walk around the block-breathw cleaner air than in your house, and let the bugs crap on you. Even if it is for 10 minutes.
You have a body for a reason. If you don't use it, it will break.
Any exercise at all will help you to be more cheerful, to have more energy, and to have body muscle tone-so you don't look like a flabby old lady. Even old ladies don't like that!
If you don't want to bother going with your friends, they will eventually quit asking you. You are too boring for them.
You might go every 10th time you are asked, just make yourself go, and decide you are going to have fun and be a good sport.
Call up someone to come hang out with you at home once in a while. Just read together and eat popcorn.
Chances are you are depressed-symptoms are to isolate yourself, and lose intereste in things you used to enjoy. (like friends.)
You might go see a doctor to be sure you are physically ok, and not ill-like with mono or thyroid problems. Diabetes.
If you are sittting home, sit. If you would be happier going out, go out some.
It is an effort to live. But it is a luxury to be 16 and get to loll around. (Don't you have chores at home?)
Soon enough you will be working and having to go to school and get very little time to yourself. Enjoy.
Good luck, honey. (get up!) Ha!

Honey, is that you? (You sound very like my son at 16.)
It's physics applied to real life. An object at rest tends to stay at rest, right? We're all that lazy at times--easier to stay home with music, TV, or a book--but you should make the effort to socialize or otherwise enjoy yourself at least some of the time.
However, there's nothing wrong with half-dreading "having" to go out, so long as once you're doing it, you have a good time.

Well, I'm a little older than you (27) but looking back I was very much like you are. I was never really one either to get really excited about going out(and still am not)-I was more of a homebody and you are too. There's nothing wrong with it and your not the only one who feels that way--just make sure you do make time to connect with your friends and maybe you can suggest outings that sound more fun to you.

My best friend was the same way throughout highschool. We'd be out getting ourselves into trouble, you know. But she would never ever come out. I swear, she was home right at 6 after sports or what not and that was it. Then she graduated. Turned 19 (bar age here) and came clubbing with us. I didn't know she liked dancing, she never left the dance floor once. lol. It's perfectly normal to want to stay home. We thought she was wierd but we live in a small town and it's understandable.

Some people are homebodies. Some are homebodies because they are actually depressed and may not realize it. I think it's odd for a 16 year old not to want to go out, so I would suggest perhaps getting evaluated. My relatives who didn't like going out ultimately were diagnosed with marginal depression.

How's your diet? Is it making you sluggish? Do you exercise? What about water intake? Maybe you're not eating enough healthy foods and thus, you're not feeling UP to getting out of the house. Have you had a physical at the doctors? Maybe you should...have you iron level checked. Maybe you need a multi vitamin. Good luck.

If you never go out, I'd say that you are leaning toward depression. But since you can make yourself go out, end up enjoying your time out, I think you're fine. You're just a homebody who would rather stay home than dress up.

Don't worry. As long as you dont have like agoraphobia thats fine. It will protect a lot in your teen years. When you do go out tho try going to somplace calm. Even if it's like a furniture store and you can go relax on their Lazyboyz till they kick you out - it's soo fun hahahahaha

I don't like going out all the time either. Like, I enjoy going out, but not every day. I just like sitting home and relaxing sometimes. =)
