How long does depo out of your system? My sis-in law hasn't been on it for over a year and was on it for a year and a half when could she expect to get pregnant

They say it can take up to 18 months, however, I think they are lieing and the consequences are much farther reaching. That stuff is nasty. There is a lot of info online. Try finding a forum where people share their experiences. I looked at one a couple of years ago and a lot of people shared their tries at conceiving and such. You might be able to get a better idea from people who have used it rather than the people who produce it.

It can take anywhere from 1-18 months for normal fertility to return after using Depo Provera. If, after 12 months of regular menstruation and consistent attempts to conceive, if she has not been able to become pregnant, then she should make an appointment with her doctor.

Well its effectiveness is gone after the three months but it could take a while to get all of it out of the system.
I've heard of girls getting pregnant on the shot and right off of the shot, and some have had to see the fertility specialist as they were having problems conceiving.
My advice is to stop trying, my mom tried and tried for the longest time to get pregnant but gave up and when she stopped trying she got pregnant right away.

it takes about 2 weeks i think for the depo part but a year = 2 weeks i do not know........

i have been off the shot for three years after being on it for one, and still cant get pregnant! it just depends on her body
