Your ex sounds like a psycho. Going around with a gorgeous police woman will make her jealous anyway lol.
I would suggest dressing up as spiderman and going in through the window to get your stuff back.
On a sensible note she doesnt have a leg to stand on, although i wouldnt be to sure that she still has your stuff xx

Do you for harrassment??....threaten her with theft accusation!!
Not really.
The best way for you is to attend a free legal clinic (Look in your local paper for when a local firm holds these...they are usually every week but by a different firm) and ask a solicitor to write to her asking for the stuff.
If she has thrown it all away and you believe it was of value your only option then would be a small claims court.....couldnt say your chances though...it would depend on how long you left the stuff without contact or intention to recover it all.
Have you got any mutual friends/family who are able to establish if your property still exists?

Do whatever you can to get your things back. Ask a mutual friend who can mediate between you. My partner had this problem when I first met him and because he couldn't stand the hassle he lost a lot of very personal belongings - things you can't replace. Don't let your ex get away with this - stand your ground and win. What right have they to steal your stuff !! If anyone should be involving the police its you.

You can have a police officer escort you to the house and remain with you to get your stuff. But that all depends if she wants to open the door. She doesn't have to. But at least she knows she'll be safe with the police there.

Go to Small Claims Court and file to get it back. If you win, ask the judge to tell the police to go with you.

You don't want to harass her. If you really want to, you can sue her for "Conversion", as she has basically converted your property into hers. If you do that, it's going to be the old story of two farmers arguing over who owns the cow while the lawyers milk it.
It's probably just not worth it.
If there was anything there that meant anything to you, you'd have taken it with you when you left.
Move on.

Did you ex give you written warning or a time scale that she was going to throw your things away? If not you could claim through the small claims court.
Go to your local Citizens advice bureau. they'll be able to tell you for sure.

You have to file a claim in small claims court for the return of your property or the value of your property (assuming it was thrown out).

If she keeps it its theft so call the police and get them to visit her. Make a complete list of all missing things.
