absolutley too early and the worst is yet to come soon people will be puting up christmas decoration completley skipping thanksgiving. Soon our society is going to want to put decorations up so fast we will need to skip holidays. Lets all take a break for a minute and remember the holiday not the decorations

It's never too early if it is what makes that person happy. There are collectors of Halloween items that keep a Halloween room decorated all year round. Personally, I put mine up on SEP 30 or OCT 1.

Although I absolutely love Halloween, I think it is a little too soon to put up Halloween decorations. It is still summer. I like to put my Halloween decorations up about two weeks prior to Halloween. People get sick of looking at them if you put them up too soon. I like to wait until the pumpkins are ready, the dried corn stalks, the Mums, etc., etc.

Yes, it's too soon. I only decorate within a month of a holiday, like October 1 for Halloween. You don't want to get sick of your decorations before the holiday is here!

Its too early, I live in NYC where people live for Halloween decorations. We dont put them up here until Sept 29-Oct 1.

If you put them up now it looks cheesy, weird, and tacky. People are not in the Halloween spirit when its 85 degrees outside and still wearing sandals..

You can shop and plan your decor now, the stores have them out, the stores dont have everything out yet though. Even Party City has half of their Halloween stuff out. You can buy and plan your decor but wait until Sept 29-oct 1 to put them out.

It is indeed too early for Halloween decor. Two weeks prior to the holiday and up to a week after is the rule to go by.

Yes, but I live in Michigan and I see people with Christmas lights up year around. So decorations on a house isn't unsual to me. But think about it, the stores probably are getting ready to start putting out their holloween stuff. It always gets earlier and earlier.

Nope, Halloween is next month.Unlike Christmas, people put their decorations up early out of excitement. So, no, they are just getting everything in place for the trick or treaters.

yes, its too early. If they're into Halloween, maybe mid-October is about right to start putting up decorations. They probably have children .

Heck, my mom has her Christmas decorations still up from last year. Just this weekend, she finally came up with a good excuse not to put it in storage - "The holidays are coming in three months, anyway!"
Your different though, you're diligent enough to prepare early. Your neighborhood kids will know where to go to get a good treat...or trick.
