Who cares what anyone else thinks???

One of my teachers said the most marvelous thing to me years ago–”What you think of me is none of my business.” I chuckled at the time, and he very seriously told me that his life was lived according to that principle. I’ll never forget that phrase.

If you’re on the inside looking out, you get to see everything. Trying to check things out from the outside is much more difficult–windows tend to distort any images we might see.

Your the only one that lives with yourself. I guess everyone cares a little even if they say they don't, but you really should try and separate some of that. It's not healthy to impress everyone all the time. I think as you get older and go through more you learn to not care as much as what others think. When it comes down to it, if you always care about what everyone thinks all the time then you don't live your life to the fullest.

People should only care about what I think, because my opinion matters the most. When you need to find out what someone thinks, just ask me directly. I will help you achieve perfection. Once you are perfect, the only things people can say about you are, "oh my, you're sooo perfect", or "how can I become perfect like you?" No feckin' way, life's too short to even give a shiit about those people who are sad enough to criticize other people. For example I'm sick of people thinking I'm poor and ill-educated just cos I work in a supermarket when in actual fact I'm only working there cos I need money for uni and I don't want to just live off my rich parents cos scrounging is for deadbeats, actually a lot of the people who do think that about me are bored unemployed housewives and middle-aged men who aren't getting any, so I'm actually better off than them cos I can still enjoy nights out and have promiscuous sex so HA HA on them.

I do!! i care what my boyfriend thinks of me...does my bum look big in this? however an honest answer is rarely required because i dont like the truth haha so maybe i dont really care what he thinks...im not too sure...:S i care about people thoughmaybe thoughts are too personal to know.

a lot of other people (( not me! )) or at least i try though everyone has those moments when you get shy or nervous...but usually, i am hyper, retarded, and very outgoing (( i am a freak and proud of it )) obviously i don't rely on just making sure that no one likes me...everyone wants friends and stuff, but i think that the whole "fitting in "thing is so boring, and wrong. it's like there's all these groups, clicks, and labels, when the truth is, you should just be your self. be yourself, and be proud of who you are. don't let people hold you back...be the one and only you.

Those who say they don't care what others think fail to take into account the power of the group dynamic. If other people have a low opinion of you it is bound to affect your social life. The best example I know of is--Muslim terrorists. I would much rather they didn't hate me and want to kill me.

there are certain circumstances when it should matter, but try not to sweat the little things. i know for a fact i'm not the one that should be talking, b/c i have very low self esteem, but i know that there is a thin line between going overboard with pleasing everyone.

I really don't care what other people think to an extent, but it really depends on what issues you are directing it towards.
