Why the hell do white people need to band together? They are together. There's no need to declare "white pride" because you're the majority. Having pride in being white in the USA is like having pride in being right-handed or heterosexual. Useless.

Why can't you be proud to be a Caucasian? Are you personally responsible for what caucasians did centuries ago or what some are still doing today? If you are a decent person who respects others regardless of their race, creed, nationality or sexual preference & treats others with the same respect that you want to be treated with there is no reason for you not to be proud.

The responses your recieve will be varied, from outright racist hostility to "almost" somewhat sympathetic.
Anglo's have no ownership on slavery or barbarism as Each culture has historically and effectively acted the same way at different times in history; The African slave trade of the 1800's was prime example as African tribes raided other tribes , kidnapped balcks and traded them to "white slave traders" on the Ivory coast Consistently. The Nazi SS was no different than the Mongol Khan whom raided other cultures killing and stealing what was not nailed down; the SS was simply more efficient in dealing death.
Anglo's are grouped by "administrative correctness"; your right, Anglo's have no Voice but a silent one. Even our race is given a Color and No ethinticity to speak of;
Anglo Germanics are grouped the same as Anglo Celt and Anglo-Slavic races and this is incorrect in a world of supposed-correctness. It is the Anglo's that know the differences the others remain ignorant of.
The reason being, again, is No Voice. So, your correct.
I have seen the t-SHIRTS with "Brown pride" and such written all over them; such a sham to self promote as this is false pride and serves no good purposes that I can think of.
I hope Anglo's remain the silent voice of reason in personal self conduct as no race needs a banner to self promote culture as such is best celebrated at home, with family as family is more important than "race"; when will we learn this?
A good way to celebrate culture is cultural events to promote your culture as a historical issue as opposed to promoting it for "pride" or self serving reasons to gain anything other groupos do not have.
Simply put, celebrate your culture with your family-together; it keeps it all in perspective.
I do not feel guilty for being Anglo Saxon, I do not feel proud by any measure either. I would describe it as a sense of coming from a leniage of Cultural-accomplishments and would celebrate the past, the music, the dress, the food, the chicks...ooppps, did I say that outloud?

Its not racist to have pride for what we are or our race.
But If we say anything even close to race, we are labeled a racist.
Cant get over it!! I'm just an average White female, 20 years of age, and I dont consider myself any better than ne one else.

There's nothing wrong with being proud of your heritage, but white Americans have no need for "white and proud"-kinds of slogans, because they have never been on the receiving end of a whip held by someone hell-bent on making them forget who they are. Minorities in America are still subjected almost constantly to treatment intended to convince them that ultimately, white is better. White people don't need anything to remind them of who they are, and since they are the majority, they also don't need to band together to fight for their rights.

My guess is because it connotes a certain image, like KKK affiliation or neonazism.
I'm a Caucasian American, with many friends of other colors and we've talked about this together on different occasions. We all consider ourselves to be reasonably intelligent people, but unfortunately, the consensus is that white people need to keep any pride they may have in their heritage to themselves. Not fair, not reasonable, but that's the way it is nonetheless.

Because in the history of this country "minorities" have fought for equality and whites have fought for superiority. You have to be really careful when saying that you're "proud of being white" that you're not coming accross as trying to be superior. Nobody should be ashamed of who they are, and you can be proud of where you come from, but there are some unfortunate periods in American history that need to be acknowledged and that everyone should be humble about. White and black are just labels anyway. I'm of Swedish, German, and Cherokee ancestry. I'm dating a guy who's Maasai from Kenya. We're technically "white" and "black" but those labels don't encompass who we really are.

I first off want to tell Rob I agree w/ him in regards to affirmative action. You shouldn't 'GIVE' someone a jobs because of the color of their skin, but neither should you 'DENY' someone a job for the color of their skin. Yet because of affirmative action, it is happening. I just hope those who are "GIVEN" jobs, not "EARNING" them can live w/ themselves. Pretty sorry actually!
Anyway, I tell ppl all the time "I was not there during slavery, I don't agree w/ what was done, and I won't appologize for something I have not done!"
PPL feel it's ok these days to have "REVERSE RACISM" but if you do then you shouldn't complain w/ "RACISM" is done toward you!
Myself, I could give a **** what color a person is! I look at their attitude & personality.
Everyone should be proud of their nationality! You can't change it, embrace it!!

Because we are supposed to be eternally ashamed for the things a small percentage of our ancestors did. None of my family owned slaves.None of my family had plantations on which a slave would be of use. Most whites back in the day were poor and oppressed by other whites. Doesn't matter though, does it? You know, most serial killers are white. Are we all serial killers? I refuse to take blame for what people unconnected to me by anything but skin color have done in the past.

it's cause, we- whites - are to blame for everything... jeez. I couldn't agree more brother... unfortunately racism is actually very reversed at this point. Ever hear of affirmative action? That means that if you are black or anything other than white... You get kudos regardless of if you are qualified or not. My stepfather, a police officer, placed in the top 4 for promotion out of a pool of 500 every year. Because he was white, he didn't get promoted. The government brought up blacks and female blacks up from 40 placement positions below him in order to address affirmative action.
They all took the same tests, in my mind if you don't qualify, you don't get the job no matter what color you are.
Now here, we have dumbarse idiots-that happen to be black- in high power positions policing our community... make sense? F#%& NO!
