Quiet Solitary thinking qualifies as meditation, but i'm not sure if you're thinking about getting money. It usually requires deep thought about the world and your place in it and who you are and what your purpose in life is, or at least carefully thinking about something before you make a decision.

I think that quiet, solitary thinking does qualify as meditation. About the how to get $1000 part....well, I suppose as long as thinking about it calms and relaxes you, then it's meditation.

No. While there are many different forms of meditation, none of them include thinking.
Some forms may including focusing on an object, but the whole point of it is to STOP thinking.

No, not to me. Meditation tries to empty your mind first. Then you are open to wait on a higher force or source, if you can. It's risky sometimes too. So if anything negative or hellacious comes over the airwaves to your mind, shut that down and try again another time. (There are positive and negative forces in almost everything.) 2 cents please.

That would be wasted meditation in my opinion. Meditating on how to improve yourself would be a far better way of doing it.

Don't think so - thought meditation was about inner well being and not about worldly possessions and such. Who cares if you can make $1000 though? If you do, can you give me some tips?

No. When you meditate you put all thoughts out of your mind and just "be."
