Because they both realize that there is a bigger audience for the country music genre.

Kid rock has made more money singing country than what he did before, and Bon Jovi is getting more fans by crossing over and when he did that duet with Jennifer Nettles he struck gold.

Bon Jovi is more country sounding anyway and always has been, and with rock being about rap now maybe he likes to sing country better, and he is a good entertainer, Kid Rock has a Rock Star appearance and attitude, every where he goes he is always giving everybody the middle finger and that is not cool, it is disrespectful and rude, country music doesn't need that kind of people they have never had them in the past and they will not have them now, nobody is an island, and Kid Rock will soon find it out!

Because country music speaks about "life" and most people can identify with something in those songs that's happened in their lives. I know I can.

As far as Bon Jovi and whoever else, maybe they're jumping on the bandwagon for the money. Country music is pulling in big bucks!

Bon Jovi has always been a great band, but somehow they tend to slowly go to country music, cuz they know everyone but me likes country music, and I do like some of it if its a mixture of Rock and Roll and country, but this way they will develop more fans and regain some of the ones they like, plus when u write music, you write how u feel at the time, and sing the music you want with it, and it just comes natural, so this is one reason. I know I love to write music and lyrics, but I can't write it in music form, but however the tune sounds is usually the mood they are in at the time. They don't just lean toward country to be doing it, it just comes natural with song writing when they write how they are feeling at the time and want to express these feelings.

They are taking advantage of opportunities to explore the range of their abilities and saw an opportunity to be a part of something really great and took it. That and over the past couple of years the cross genre thing has been a thing to do, a nice credit to ad to their already successful careers. Let's not forget between the release of Kid Rock/Cheryl Crow singing "Picture" and the teaming up of Bon Jovi/ Jennifer Nettles doing "who Says You Can't go Home" was the teaming up of Tim McGraw and Nelly doing "Over and Over".

Kid Rock has always claimed to have a country side so that's probably why he's doing it. Bon Jovi.. I couldn't tell you. Maybe just to try something different musically. They had a huge hit with Sugarland.

Ike Turner - For writing the 1st "rock" song, "Rocket 88" Elvis- For being the 1st "rock action picture star" Little Richard, overweight Checker and all the different stars of the 50's- For commencing up the revolution of a sparkling daybreak Chuck Berry - For writing the 1st honestly rock song, "Johnny B Goode" The Beatles - the 1st recognizable band Rolling Stones- the 1st actual rock band i'm sorry, however the Beatles have been a pop band with guitars, not rockers. Rolling Stones have been the 1st band to be the "undesirable boys" and define intercourse, drugs and rock and roll. shifting on... Jimi Hendrix - the 1st "shredder" Led Zeppelin - the 1st heavy rock band. They stimulated tens of millions. i think that Black Sabbath could desire to be thrown in right here besides. The fathers of steel. Eddie Van Halen - the only-guy revolution. This guy redefined a thank you to play a guitar perpetually. the vast 4 of steel- Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax and Megadeath. those adult males took the revolution farther, and presented what a actual shred become to the international. i'm going to end with Nirvana for commencing the main contemporary revolution, the alternative circulation. i could call those the vast 10 artists that formed rock and roll.

The country industry is big. In Autralia Half to two thirds of the place believes that Country is ok. It's only the newer genersations from the Coastal areas that think it's bad. C'mon if half a country can be hooked think of the sales!

Also, Country is the only style that you can really show your true voice in. Welcome to the world of technology. I love accoustic stuff and always will.

First of all, after 25 years as a band and songwriters they have to try something new.It is not possible for them to still sing the way they sang when they were 25,they are nearing their 50's now so they have to try something more mature and down to earth. Also being a musician you want to try something new, expand your horizons, look for something that can get you excited all over again. And i think that the new cd is deeper and more personal, the country sound really helps to make it sound that way(slow songs, great lyrics etc),I can imagine them in big arenas, singing those songs and people could still relate to them, feeling they are singing just for them.Plus I think the country sound really suits Jons voice,I think the new cd is great,it's definately one of my favorites!!And I do like the fact they used so much of their personal lives and experiences(Richies pain,Jons concern for his friend etc) in this album, for me it's worth gold!
