Classic Rock
{60's - 70's and bands / artists who originated then}
is what I live on!

And I was born in 1982!

I REALLY cannot stand the rubbish that claims to be music these days.

Though I will admit that on occasion, a song or group / singer comes along who deserves a chance.

But for the most part ~ just give me more Classic Rock!!!

Led Zeppelin
Fleetwood Mac
Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac
Jethro Tull
Pink Floyd
Meat Loaf
Dire Straits
Mike Oldfield
Queen
Elton John
Jimi Hendrix
Free
The Who
The Rolling Stones

Quit it! You're making me feel old. Seriously, I pretty much exclusively listen to the classic rock and classic r&b stations on XM radio and they play lots of songs from back when I was in high school in the 80's (When did Motley Crue become "classic" rock???).

Speaking of the Crue, Nikki Sixx's Heroin Diaries CD (soundrack for the book) came out last week. It's awesome! It's the first REAL rock album to come out in a while. It sounds nothing like Motley Crue, but it's completely amazing. If you like real rock and roll, go buy it!!!!

Classic rock and slightly after was the last of true song writing. There is good music out, but the song writing is not as good anymore. There used to be a story and a feel good theme.

I love classic rock and rock period whether it be the Stones or The Doors. I hate pop music. Not much of a fan of R&B but I love classic rock and just plain rock

I can't stand to listen to the radio anymore unless it's a classic rock station. Maybe I am just getting old, but most of the music now really sucks to me.

I like classic rock.

... bubblegum music is just blah

... and rap *could* have been good - but most artists seem to only be half-@$$'ing their work. What's up with all the sampling of other people's music?? Why can't they write their own?

Classic rock is the best and they know it. They will never be able to make it like they used to. I don't care for rap, but the absolute worst is that head banging crap.
