Definitely take Garrard over Grossman. Grossman is too inconsistent and, while he might get you 30 points one week, he'll get you 5 the next (and maybe the next). Many people were looking at Byron Leftwich to be a pretty good 2nd QB this year. Then he was cut and Garrard was named starting QB. So, he must be even better than Leftwich, which would still make him a good back-up QB. And, at least he's more consistent than Grossman.

The rest of the players on your bench versus what's available look like toss-ups. I do find it hard to believe that these are the only players available - maybe it's just the available ones you're considering.

Keep an eye on Selvin Young (RB DEN), Kenton Keith (RB IND), Craig Davis (WR SD), and Demetrius Williams (WR BAL). Young was just named the back-up RB in Denver, which has produced two 1000-yard backs many times over the years and Travis Henry is injury prone. Keith was just named the back-up to Addai in Indy, so he'll get his touches to spell Addai and this is Addai's first season as a featured back (he might not be able to take the load).

Both Davis and Williams are slot receivers for their respective teams. McNair doesn't have the arm he used to back in the day and will look to dink and dunk over the middle a lot (one reason Todd Heap is so prolific). And, Philip Rivers is looking to have a break-out season with Norv Turner as head coach in San Diego. Look for Davis to get lots of looks in the red zone while defenses are trying to cover Gates, Tomlinson, and the other two San Diego wideouts.

I'd drop Mike Bell and pick up Selvin Young RB backup in denver, If Henry's injury prolongs selvin is a steal in denver's system.

Then I'd look at Jacoby Jones out of houston, WR will start. Or I like Bryant Johnson

With what you have i'd drop chatman and jurevicius and pick up brown and johnston.
Brown and henry will give you a starter in tennesse and johnston has big play potential.
And if Grossman bombs and garrard is still out there pick him up

Henry is on special teams for the titans not even a starting WR so drop him. It would be nice to see your "fantastic" team.
