Waste of money. Most loose. The staff steals.

It depends on what kind of restaurant you are thinking about opening. I happen to work at a Sonic Drive-in so I know that it takes $100,000 to get a Sonic franchise. You might be able to start a restaurant without a franchise for less money but you are going to have a lot more trouble attracting customers.

Depending on the style of cooking, size and what needs to be done to the building; 100.000 and up......way up. 1000.000 isn't a rare number in that line of work.
