What's the consensus on the matchups this weekend? I'm leaning on Roethlisberger but just want to see what everyone else thinks.

letschat - I already knew that. I got shafted b/c I waited too long to draft my QB. The rest of my team is solid so I'm not that worried.

Based on match-ups (PIT at CLE and PHI at GB), I would say start Roethlisberger. Favre's going up against a superior defense and the GB running game is in a shambles. So, I would expect Philly to defend the pass strongly and dare GB to run.

Roethlisberger also has something to prove this year, after all his troubles and poor performance last year. I'd give him the first shot, but keep my mind open on Favre against more favorable match-ups.

I would go with Roethlisberger. Pitt vs. Cleveland is a better
matchup than Green Bay vs. Philadelphia. I think Big Ben is the way to go.

No brainer - Start Big Ben.

1) Favre historically performs poorly against the Eagles (check the stats, they don't lie)

2) Big Ben is going against Cleveland...possibly the WORST team in the league.

3) If your league subtracts points for INT's, keep Favre on the bench

4) Favre is 37 years old

5) Big Ben is 25 years old
