The Yankees have always been one of the worst in bringing along players out of their farm system, But in 2006 they paid a lot of money to sign four key pitchers they believe can make it with the big team. The best known, or course, is Joba and he will be with the team next year. The other three are still a few years away but should be solid. They are Dellin Betances, Ian Kennedy, and Mark Melancon, and not a left hander in the bunch. I believe you will see more of Tyler Clippard next year and another good young pitcher by the name of Brent Cox might have a shot. With all of this being said, if the Yankees don't trade for pitching in the off season they will continue to have problems because only Joba will have a significant impact next year.

They have a lot of talent that is in the lower levels performing well right now, they have gone back to the philosiphy of bringing along talent rather than trading and overpaying for it, you have not seen it yet but it is what Cashman has been talking about all year.

Chamberlain, Kennedy and Hughes are the big three youngsters.

I don't think any other team has three to match those.
