I've done it numerous times. But sometimes when i'm ready to make an excuse. I start to feel sorry for the person i'm speaking too. Then i find myself in a postion, where an hour has passed, since i intended to leave.

Yes, but I usually try to make the excuse for not going in the first place, it saves on gas.
If you'd seen some of the places and people I have avoided, you'd have done the same.

Definitely!! Both being in the company of someone and getting off the phone.
A great one to get off the phone (only use every so often): I'd quietly sneak my hand out the front door and ring the doorbell. Got to go! Somone's at the door!!

I think everyone has done this I was talking to a friend and i as getting bored and i said go to go getting dinner also theres someone at door dog wants out theres lots i have used

Yep. Can't recall the reason, but I've left my wife in a restaurant (I paid the bill first) and walked out.
I felt fully justified ~ that much I do recall.
