I utilized all the information resident on Ebay. I read everything they had on how to utilize the Ebay site. A quick tip. Go to any page on Ebay. Click on "Advanced Search." Type in the name of any items you're thinking about selling or the brand name, if you have one, i.e., "sweaters." Then, click on "closed bids/auctions only," which I think currently is the center option. When the results come back. All the items that sold, the price they sold at will be in green. All the items that didn't sell, the price will be in red. You will quickly be able to assess what's selling and what's not. Take a look at the sale: what time did it take place, what day, what was the starting bid, what type of ad did the seller use, et cetera. Hope this helps!

All the best,

You can find people who can walk you through it all by joining up on a freecycle list in your area (use google.com and type in "Freecycle" and the name of your city.

I met three who use Freecycle in our area who basically live off of what they sell on eBay. One does beanie baby toys and Barbies, another would recondition electronic items and sold them on eBay (he bought the car with money he made from his sales, he told me, when he came to pick up some packing peanuts I had for him), and I forget what the other person was focusing on, but they were living off what they made on eBay as well.

I've only sold a very little on it, some items move, some don't. It takes a lot of time and attention. But if you join up with your local Freecycle list and put a post on it asking to hear from people who DO sell on eBay, you'll get some good people to talk to.
